Great fun for adults and kids, geocaching is fast becoming an addictive hobby for outdoor enthusiasts! John Neale will go over the the basics of geocaching and using your GPS. NNJC is about promoting a quality caching experience in Northern New Jersey. Bring your GPS and stay till the end for the secret GPS coordinates! Cool getaway prizes are hidden in geocaches around 1 Hanson Place! There will also be a scavenger hunt on site Amazing Race style - great for kids and immediately after workshop. 7 clues, first ones back get adventure prizes!

Mr. Matson covers the various types of bikes as well and best uses for them. He has 26 years of bicycling experience and is owner of NYC Recumbent Supply.

Composting
Vandra Thorburn will give a quick demonstration to show how easy it is to make fermenting bran and apply to food waste in air tight buckets as a way of storing and managing food waste. She's the founder and president of Vokashi, Inc. a unique composting service to help households and small businesses recycle their food waste using the Japanese method of fermenting organic matter called bokashi. Her business plan took the 2009 Excellence Award from the Brooklyn Public Library's PowerUp competition and she serves as a Trustee of the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture.

Chef Jacques Gautier's restaurant Palo Santo operates out of the ground floor of a Brooklyn brownstone. His eclectic take on traditional Latin American Cuisine draws influence from Caribbean family roots. In 1998 he completed the chef training program at The Natural Gourmet Institute. At age twenty Chef Gautier was invited to cook at the James Beard House -he remains the youngest to have received that honor. Before opening his own restaurant, he worked in the renowned kitchens of Vong in New York and Azie in San Fransisco. Gautier spent most of 2004 traveling and working as a wine maker’s assistant in Argentina. During his travels he conducted an intensive study of South American wine and perfected the Latin market cooking that Palo Santo offers on a daily changing menu.
