Tips |

Footwear can be the difference
between a good day on the trail and a bad blister. Break in your boots before spending
any extended amount of time in them. In cooler weather, avoid cotton socks as they
will get wet and stay wet. Most camping stores have a great selection of hiking
socks ranging from silk liners to Smart Wool, the lean and mean grandchild of traditional
wool. And if you're on the trail for a lengthy period of time, it's never a bad
idea to have a spare pair of boot laces with you, just in case. |
