from a 1950's motel , Ocean Dunes now offers vacation
rentals units. We guarantee once you step inside, you'll
feel transported. Open April through October, Ocean
Dunes units very in size from one bedrooms to suites
and a few are for sale! All units have gorgeous views
whether they be from the courtyard overlooking the ocean,
or from the back decks overlooking the nature preserve
-- with ocean views in the distance.
Wildlife
is abundant! Located along a historic Indian Trail, Ocean
Dune's wildlife preserve provides a peaceful setting
to enjoy from the outdoor pool or the adjacent picnic
tables and barbeques. Catch the deer feeding at dawn or
the hummingbirds at dusk. Coupled with soft ocean breezes
and the melodic sound of the Atlantic, you are sure to
feel you've found paradise!
Within
town you'll find a number of nice restaurants like the
Indian Wells Tavern. If you're on the go, grab
a muffin for breakfast from Mary's Marvelous. In
addition, there are wineries and bike rentals nearby,
plus a day spa in town! Within a few miles you'll find
an active nightlife, musical performances and food festivals.
In addition, there's the Music Festival of the Hamptons
in Bridgehampton & East Hampton, and East Hampton plays
host to an annual International Film Festival in

Bus:
The Hampton Jitney stops in Amagansett, as does the
Hampton Luxury Liner. From there Ocean Dunes
is about a 2-mile walk. For more info

Train: Take LIRR to the Amagansett stop. Ocean
Dunes is about 2 miles away or just a few minutes
by taxi. There are usually taxis waiting at the station.

Car: From Manhattan take the Queens-Midtown tunnel
(I-495 East). You will be on the Long Island Expressway
(I-495) heading East. TakeLong Island Expressway to exit
70. Then Route 111 South (Manorville Rd) to Route 27 East
(Sunrise Hwy) towards Montauk. On Route 27 East. Just beyond
exit 66, Hampton Bays, the four-lane highway becomes a two-lane
highway. Stay on Route 27 east through Southampton, Water
Mill, Bridgehampton and Wainscott. When you get to the village
of East Hampton, make a 90 degree left turn with Route 27
at the traffic light onto Main Street. There is a large
white house on your left, and the Hedges Inn in front of
you. You will pass a pond (say hello to the white swans)
and a cemetery on your right. Go through the center of East
Hampton, and continue on Route 27 (which is called Main
Street, then later Pantigo Road) some three miles to Amagansett.
As you enter Amagansett village, there will be a Mobil gas
station on your right. Turn right on to Indian Wells Highway
towards the ocean. At the third street, a few hundred feet
before the beach, turn left onto Bluff Road. You will see
the parking lot of Ocean Dunes on your right.
