Tuck away those bathing suits and shorts for your smartest looking fall duds – it’s time to go back to school. For the trendiest clothes, the coolest new gadgets, and anything you could possibly ever need for your scholarly satisfaction, try Carousel Center, the shops at Fayetteville Towne Center like Kohl’s, Stickley, Audi & Co. and the L.L.Bean Outlet or Armory Square boutiques.
Not only does the fall signify "back to school", it also means "back to football", bringing joy back into the lives of Orange enthusiasts everywhere. Don your Paulus jersey, grab some hotdogs, salty snacks, and cool drinks and pack it all in a cooler to tailgate on SU hill before a Syracuse University Football game. Be there for the season kickoff: September 5, SU versus Minnesota.
Put down the brown Sharpie. You don’t need freckles to attend the Syracuse Irish Festival – Irish or not, you’re welcome! River dance on down to Clinton Square September 11-12 to embrace a taste of Éire, including live performances by Irish bands including Gaelic Storm! Drop your bagpipe in exchange for some bocce balls, and check out Festa Italiana, September 18-20, in front of Syracuse City Hall. Think you’re a Bingo champ? Try your skills at Italian Bingo, then we’ll see who’s all talk. Mark off one more country – Germany – on your mental passport, September 25-27, at the Great Syracuse Oktoberfest in Clinton Square! Groove to tunes from a band directly from Germany, "Die Gehrenburgspatzen" and munch on some delightful Schnitzel.
