Sweepstakes, Contests & Liability

Once you enter for a sweepstakes or contest you are automatically added to our newsletter distribution list. You may unsubscribe at any time. Your information will not be sold. See Privacy Policy below. Only one email address per person is required. Multiple entries are prohibited. Escapemaker.com shall not be responsible for any loss that might occur as a result of its content including but not limited to theft, injury, death or act of God.

By submitting an entry to win a contest or prize from Escapemaker.com, you release Escapemaker.com and its vendors and/or donators of this prize from any liability should any losses occur before, after, in transit to and from, during or relating to the prize redemption including but not limited to thefts, injuries, deaths, or acts of God. Winner will forfeit prize if not redeemed according to specific contest rules and within 6 months of winning notification. Must be at least 21 years old to enter and to win prize.

Escapemaker's database of business listings is just that, a database. Since we provide a free listing to any tourism business that requests one, we are not able to verify the quality and conditions of these businesses. Therefore a business listed in our database is by no means endorsed or recommended and we are not responsible for any loss or damage that may occur as a result of patronizing these businesses. In the case of lodging, we strongly recommend you check with the state hotel/motel association or bed and breakfast association which monitors accredited lodgings and quality standards before making a reservation. Terms of Use for Cost Per Click

Definition of Cost per Click, Unique Click, Unique Visitor and our Guarantee: Cost-per-click through is a payment model for online advertising placement; charging the advertiser for the number of times an ad has been clicked. If you decide to continue past the $10.00 free trial, your card will be debited your authorized threshold amount. You may change your threshold amount anytime. Once your account balance reaches $0.00 you will have 24 hours to login to change your threshold amount or set it to $0.00 to deactivate, otherwise we will charge your card the threshold amount you have on record. EscapeMaker.com takes click fraud very seriously; therefore we do everything possible to ensure you are only charged for unique clicks to your website by unique visitors. A unique click is a click to your website from our website; an action taken by one individual. A 'cookie' is placed on their computer by our website once this unique visitor has been counted so their clicks will not be counted again. Unique visitors are measured according to their unique IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, which are like online fingerprints. Unique visitors are counted only once no matter how many times they visit the site. There are some Internet Service Providers ( ISPs) that use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, (DHCP) such as America Online and cable modem providers, which use different IPs for every file requested, making one visitor look like many. In this case, a single IP address does not indicate a unique visitor. Therefore in order to guard against this we take extra measures by only counting clicks made by a unique visitor, on a unique IP address, on a unique platform (MAC or PC) in a 24-hour period. We encourage our advertisers to track click throughs on their own website with their ISP or through web statistic software as a good business practice. Our CPC guarantee offers a plus or minus 10% error margin provided documentation is supplied with 30 days and certified by your host or stat software provider as accurate. i.e. If our click through totals do not match yours at the end of the month, we will bill you at the lower total, not to exceed a 10% margin of error.

External Sites

Our site allows visitors to link to other internet sites that are owned and controlled by people completely independent of Escapemaker. We are not responsible in any way for the accessibility or functioning of any external site, or content of any site other than our own (as stated in these Terms Of Use). Any sites wishing to remove their logos, graphics, links or listings from this website should call or email Escapemaker directly and we will immediately remove it from the site.

Escapemaker truly believes in keeping your confidential information just that - confidential! We will only use your personal information for the purposes of enhancing your Escapemaker experience. Escapemaker will not sell your personal information to third parties. In the case of a co-opted promotion, you will be advised and given the option to opt-in to third party communications.
