The Chrisjohn's Iroquois Indian Festival - October 6th & 7th
 
Dear EscapeMakers,

The Chrisjohn's Iroquois Indian Festival takes over the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on Saturday & Sunday, October 6th & 7th!

It showcases Native American singing, Iroquois social dancing, a live wolf from The Wolf Conservation Center, storytelling by Iroquois Storyteller Vicky Shenendoah, and living history demonstrations, with Native foods, arts and crafts for sale!

The festival welcomes back the Allegany River Indian Dancers, with dances such as the Rabbit, Shuffle, Robin, and all time favorite, Smoke Dance!

Check out musical performances throughout both days. Hochunk artist, Harjio, plays some of the fine crafted flutes he has created. Jennifer Pena shows off her skills as a falconer, flying her beautiful birds. Learn about eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, and birds of prey.

Don't miss a beautiful autumn day of exciting events for the whole family! The festival takes place at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Route 9, Rhinebeck. 11am-6pm, rain or shine. Tickets $7; $5 Seniors/Kids 6-12, and 5 & under free.
