Thanks
to all that participated at Edible Magazine's "Edible Escape"
on October 19, 2011 at the Angel Orensanz Center on the Lower East Side.
Our booth was well received and we signed up hundreds of new users to
our newsletter! Click here for a roundup
and more pics!

We also exhibited in Union Square on 17th St. on October 23rd
at the "Green City Challenge"
where we promoted our upcoming
Green Getaways, Local Food & Travel Expo to thousands of
New Yorkers interested in sustainability and green travel options!

IN OTHER NEWS... President, Caylin Sanders traveled to Albany,
NY to deliver a workshop on packaging off of Amtrak's New York
routes for clients like Howe Caverns,
The Golden Arrow Resort,
Genesee County Chamber of
Commerce, Columbia
County, and
Dutchess County Tourism. She'll be holding another one in the
Winter of 2012. If you'd like to participate, please send us an email!
We'll
be hosting more Twitter
and Facebook sweepstakes.
If you'd like to donate a prize for extra promotion, please email
us!
We'll be
relaunching the site in early 2012, so please look for
a survey in the coming months to aid us in the redesign.
Also, we are partnering with TripFilms to offer new location stock
video services to all sponsors!
Note
from Caylin Sanders: Hi Everyone -- some sad news! As many of you know,
we lost a super champion of travel and local tourism a few weeks ago when
Sheila Guidice of the Corning Museum of Glass suddenly passed away.
Sheila was a friend to me personally and to EscapeMaker --volunteering
to help at our consumer shows as a cheerful rep for local tourism. She
was a constant uplifting positive force wherever she went. My thoughts
go out to her family and friends in the Finger Lakes and in New Jersey
and may we all keep her spirit alive by promoting local tourism with Sheila's
passion and commitment as an inspiration!
